MONTREAL As the world watches in horror at the climbing death toll brought on by COVID-19 in India, the expat community in Montreal is rallying to help their loved ones. For Manny Kohli, watching the news from back home has been a distressing experience. “People are panicking. Hospitals are full, oxygen is in a shortage and I hear every day, our extended family, some friends, or on the TV, every minute somebody is dying.” On Sunday, Indian officials reported almost 3,700 deaths due to the virus over the previous 24 hours, and 400,000 new cases. The country has reported 216,000 deaths since the start of the pandemic, though some experts have said that number is likely far below the actual count.

How to find your perfect spring coat for 2021
Make sure this major buy is one you wear for years to come

All the coats you need to see you through the spring season and beyond
While the hunt for the perfect pair of jeans and acceptable swimwear rank as retail torture, shopping for a spring coat, as long as you know where to go, can be unalloyed pleasure.
First, a coat almost never involves body shaming. Quite the reverse. A good coat can be fitted or slim, but it should never be tight. As someone who’s 5ft 4, I’d recommend anyone on the small side to avoid oversized or cocoon shapes as they’re not nearly as flattering as you fondly imagine. That said, a belted, or single-breasted coat should leave a little bit of room to breathe. Even in late spring you never know when you’ll need to slip a jumper underneath it.
