Follow These Local Designers As They Each Transform a Room in Eight Weeks
They re all taking part in the super-popular Instagram event known as the One Room Challenge.

If you’re a big interior design fan (or just follow a lot of design accounts on IG), you’ve likely heard of the One Room Challenge. But for the uninitiated, it’s a biannual event where people sign up to transform a space in their home over the course of eight weeks.
This spring’s event kicked off last week, and participating folks will document their plans and progress via their blogs and Instagram pages. While the One Room Challenge team picks some people to highlight as featured designers each season (one of which is DC resident Dominique Gebru, below), anyone can participate. We rounded up some of the DC-area residents who are doing it this round.
Peraton names leaders for after Perspecta deal closes
Ahead of the close of its combination of Perspecta, Peraton has unveiled the executive team that will lead the future combined company.
We’ve previously reported that Stu Shea, Peraton CEO, will continue on as CEO of the company. Perspecta CEO Mac Curtis has announced his intent to retire.
The team Shea announced in a company-wide memo released in this Securities and Exchange Commission filing includes a mix of a Peraton and Perspecta executives, with a couple folks from the recent acquisition of Northrop Grumman’s IT services business.

COVID Vaccine Breakthrough Cases Explained As People Catch Virus After Shot

Health officials in Washington have announced they are investigating reports of COVID breakthrough cases, as similar incidents are recorded across the U.S. Breakthrough cases refer to people who catch a virus despite having received the vaccine for it more than two weeks earlier.
Scientists say the incidents are rare, but are to be expected in mass vaccination programs. Although vaccines have been shown to prevent COVID illness in clinical trials, they are not 100 percent effective.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Washington s Department of Health said 1 million people in the state had been fully vaccinated. Of these, there was evidence that 102 had caught COVID afterwards.
