The Dallas Stars may be undefeated, but they’ve had rotten luck when it comes to player availability. For last night’s game against the Detroit Red Wings, they were missing the following players: Ben Bishop, Tyler Seguin, Blake Comeau, Jamie Benn, Joel Kiviranta, and Roope Hintz.
That’s a tall order to overcome, but give credit to the Stars’ fringe roster players they stepped up to the challenge:
“Our philosophy here is next man up,” Stars coach Rick Bowness said. “We weren’t sure of our lineup until we got here tonight. We had to make adjustments and these guys found a way. Every game is not going to be a Picasso and we’ve said that before. Sometimes you just have to find a way to win a game. We did that.”
