Several streets in North Platte will get new surfaces this summer and Lakeview Blvd. will be widened, following action Tuesday by the city council.
The council approved the one- and six-year road plan that was presented by city administrators.
Under the plan, Lakeview Blvd. on the west side of the city will be widened from A St. north to Front St. at a cost of about $900,000. The new street will be built in tandem with the construction of 10 new apartment buildings just north of the A and Lakeview intersection. Construction is already underway on the new apartments.
