Council approves street projects, pigeon control by: George Lauby - Mar. 17, 2021 Top News Several streets in North Platte will get new surfaces this summer and Lakeview Blvd. will be widened, following action Tuesday by the city council.   The council approved the one- and six-year road plan that was presented by city administrators. Under the plan, Lakeview Blvd. on the west side of the city will be widened from A St. north to Front St. at a cost of about $900,000. The new street will be built in tandem with the construction of 10 new apartment buildings just north of the A and Lakeview intersection. Construction is already underway on the new apartments.
