CLEVELAND, OH – Coastal Carolina Director of Athletics Matt Hogue was named a winner of the Athletics Director of the Year Award (ADOY) by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA).

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. WVU’s Shane Lyons is one of four winners of the 2021 Athletics Director of the Year Award from the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA). University High School graduate and Oregon AD Rob Mullins is also a winner of this award.
In addition to his duties as WVU’s top athletics official, Lyons has also served as chairman of the NCAA Football Oversight Committee. A native of Parkersburg, Lyons is in his seventh year at the WVU post.
“There’s a lot of fingerprints that go on to this award,” Lyons said. “Being an athletic director, you take the good and the bad. And this is the good. I have a lot of great people I have surrounded myself with, from my senior staff and entire staff at the West Virginia athletics department that have helped make this a reality. I can’t thank them enough.”

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - Coastal Carolina will play in their 1st bowl game in program history the school announced on Sunday facing Liberty in the Cure Bowl in Orlando on December 26th.
The Chanticleers, who had their game in the Sun Belt Championship canceled because of a positive COVID-19 test, finished the season ranked 12th in the College Football Playoff rankings. They’ll face off against a Flames squad that finished ranked 19th.
