It’s time to bring vaccines to work

In the US, COVID-19 vaccines are free, but it turns out that money is still a big barrier to vaccination.
See, even though the vaccines don’t cost a thing, it still takes time to go and get a shot and potentially recover from any side effects. For working adults, that may mean taking time off work and that isn’t something that everyone can afford to do.

One person died and another person was in critical condition on Tuesday evening after a vehicle crash in San Francisco, said city Supervisor Matt Haney.
Details of the fatal crash were immediately unavailable, but Haney said that two vehicles were involved and pedestrians were struck at Polk and Hayes streets.
A 30-year-old man was taken to San Francisco General Hospital and was in critical condition on Tuesday evening, Haney said.
Students and Teachers Protest at Castro Safeway After Fifth-Grader Gets Racially Profiled
There was a kid-led march on Wednesday to protest the treatment of a San Francisco fifth-grader who was accused of stealing a sandwich at the Safeway on Market and Church streets.
The angry-making situation arose last week, on April 26, when 11-year-old Ja mari Oliver, who is Black, went into the Safeway by himself to buy lunch for his first day back at school after 14 months of remote learning. On his way out of the store, he was stopped by a security guard and asked to show proof that he d paid for his sandwich.
