The shooting happened last july 4th. Police got a call about a man in the east end of the city with a gun. Were told a detective along with a k9 officer and a sergeant spotted beaty walking down a street. Beaty was reportedly wearing a camouflage jacket and his arm was stiff. Police say they tried talking with him but he started running. During the chase officers say they could see the gun and it appeared as if beaty pointed it one of officers.
