For shops like New Haven s Elm City Games, getting Pokémon cards into the hands of collectors has become an increasingly rare task. Supply chain issues have created a huge shortage of product and the scalpers have been crawling out from under their rocks buying up all the stock which creates a cycle of scarcity, said Matt Fantastic, co-owner of Elm City Games.
