Khadak police on Friday booked a moneylender and his accomplice in a case of extortion. The accused in the case were
Nilesh Deshpande, a moneylender and
Shashikant Golande, who owns a building materials supply business. Aniruddha Patwardhan, a resident of
Sadashiv Peth, lodged the complaint.
Patwardhan, a 35-year-old developer and owner of Matrru Infrastructure and Patsons Avairies, told police he was harassed, threatened and extorted by the moneylender. He said he befriended Golande and Deshpande in 2013. He used to purchase building materials from Golande. In 2015, he suffered a
