Officers, supported by the National Police Air Helicopter Service and dog patrols, found and detained a man. They also found a discarded rucksack which contained a knife, screwdriver, hammer and items matching the description of those reported stolen during the burglary. A police helicopter was called A 34-year-old man from Wigan was arrested on suspicion of burglary; aggravated unauthorised taking of motor vehicle; dangerous driving and possession of a bladed article. He was taken into custody for questioning and has since been released under investigation, a Merseyside Police spokeswoman said. A MAN from Wigan who was arrested after a car crashed into two vehicles during a police chase on Monday evening has been released under investigation. Two suspects fled from the vehicle, an Audi, which had been stolen in a burglary on Robins Lane in Sutton the day before following the collision. A police helicopter dog patrols were called and one suspect was detained in a field in Haydock. The burglary had been reported to have taken place on Sunday, June 6, between 7.45pm and 9.45pm and saw a white Audi Q3 car, an Apple Macbook Air laptop and a Tommy Hilfiger watch reportedly stolen.
