This week, 500 participants from all over Asia gather in Kottayam, India, to evaluate the last eight years of ecumenical work and look to challenges ahead, such as the impact of youth migration. Renowned Asian ecumenical theologian and former associate general secretary of the Christian Conference of Asia, Dr Preman Niles, passed away in London on 4 August. He was 87 years old.
