Man charged after deadly Dickson County altercation, officials say

A man has been charged and is in Dickson County Jail following a Thursday afternoon altercation that led to a death, according to the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office.
Mathew Welch, 28, is charged with criminal homicide after an altercation occurred between Welch and Gary Baker, 58, that led to Baker’s death, according to the sheriff s office. The altercation occurred at Baker s residence.
Sheriff’s office deputies responded to the disturbance on Glenn Baker Road at 4 p.m. Thursday where the found Baker deceased. Welch, who was first taken to the hospital to treat injuries, is now in county jail on a $150,000 bond.
