Replacement of an aging signal system and improvements to pedestrian crossings on Highway 14/15 in New Ulm will begin Tuesday, June 1.
The traffic signal, located at the intersection of 16
th North Street and Highway 14 near the Liquor Mart, needs to be replaced with a model that meets today’s standards and current American Disability Act requirements. The project also includes improving the curb ramps and adding a flashing yellow arrow to the system. A flashing yellow arrow means left turns may proceed with caution after yielding to oncoming traffic and pedestrians.
