The future of the 2021 edition of Burning Man is still up in the air, but up until last week, it looked like fans of artful, off-grid experiences in the desert had another option.
The Everywhen Project bills itself as a surreal camping & art festival that takes place in . Black Rock Desert, Nevada, the same general location as Burning Man, in a 2 mile area they’ve dubbed Mandala City. It was listed to take place from July 25 to Aug. 2 with capacity for 15,000 attendees, but with the caveat that their permit is still pending. That didn’t stop them from selling tickets at $273 each for the event, subtitled the Electric Universe.
