The pandemic forced many audiences to turn to streaming services to get a dose of their favourite television series, variety shows and other popular entertainment. The streaming services are currently leading the nominations list for the 73rd Emmy Awards, announced by the Television Academy.
Netflix’s ‘The Crown’ and the Disney+ Stars Wars spinoff series ‘The Mandalorian’ are leading with 24 nominations each. The Disney+ series ‘WandaVision’ earned the Marvel franchise 23 nominations. Hulu’s ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ comes in with 21 nominations, while the Apple TV+ series ‘Ted Lasso’ scored 20 nominations, making it the most-nominated comedy of the year. ‘Lovecraft Country’ and ‘The Queen’s Gambit’ got 18 nods each and ‘Mare of Easttown’ received 16.

Sri Lankan GCE O/Level students are 40 years behind their counterparts in the UK vis-a-vis the use of calculators, which were introduced into secondary schools in the UK around 1980. These ordinary scientific calculators had arithmetic functions, squares, square roots, reciprocals, trigonometrical, exponential and logarithmic functions and their Inverses, etc. They were not graphic display calculators (i. e. calculators that can display graphs, statistical functions, answers to definite integrals,etc. on a small screen at the press of a few buttons).
Cambridge O/L Exams were replaced by the GCSE/IGCSE (General/International General Certificate of Secondary Education) exams about 35 years ago. Use of Graphic display Calculators are allowed in some maths papers in the GCSE / IGCSE Exams. Cambridge IGCSE Maths Exam has 6 Papers. Papers 1, 3 and 5 constitute the Core Exam and Papers 2, 4 and 6 constitute the Extended Exam. Graphic display Calculator

Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE has released a revised date sheet for classes 10, 12. New CBSE Date Sheet 2021 for Class 10, 12 is now available on the official website cbse.nic.in. Students are advised to go through the new time table here for quick reference. Students may please note, the revised CBSE Date sheet 2021 was released today – March 5, 2021.
