Ipswich Town vs Sunderland

February 2020: Sunderland 1-0 Ipswich (Maguire) August 2019: Ipswich 1-1 Sunderland (Garbutt; Gooch) February 2018: Sunderland 0-2 Ipswich (Garner, Matthews og) September 2017: Ipswich 5-2 Sunderland (Waghorn, Spence, Celina, McGoldrick, Ward; Jones, McGeady)     With long-time ambitions to return to the Championship - from where they dropped into League One after a 17-year spell - Ipswich have often found their promotion attempts dropping off towards the second half of the season.   They will be eager to go one better this term, but have struggled for consistency in recent weeks, losing five of their last nine. The reverse fixture at the Stadium of Light saw the Black Cats edge through as 2-1 winners, with Grant Leadbitter’s late penalty against his former employers deciding the match in our favour.
