Jane Sholts Fetterly, 84, a columnist for the Palm Beach Daily News, died Sunday, March 28, 2021, after a brief illness.
She wrote the Business Notes and Bits n People columns for the Palm Beach Daily News for the past 15 years and was women s editor of The Palm Beach Post in the 1960s.
Mrs. Fetterly also was public relations director for The Society of the Four Arts for 19 years and worked as an administrative assistant for former Palm Beach County Commissioners Dorothy Wilken and the late Maude Ford Lee. Mom was a bit of an amalgam for all things communications in Palm Beach County, from her writing and public relations careers to her work for the county, said son Mark Fetterly, a theater teacher at Wellington High School.
