Though many people still cannot return home. Abc 7 news toured lower lake with a cal fire lieutenant today. For a firstland look at the damage, after at least 170 homes and businesses and other structures were destroyed by the fire that started on saturday. 1500 more remain threatened right now. Today cal fire lifted the Evacuation Order for neighborhoods east of highway 53 from polk avenue to cash creek. Many people in other neighborhoods still cant get back to their houses. Not as if we could just open the door and allow people to come home. There are a lot of people and organizations who have a voice in when it would be safe for people to reenter the home.
