LOUISVILLE – Golfers and golf carts are already on the course at River Course at Louisville Landing Recreation, formerly the Massena Country Club.
A “soft opening” started April 9.
Opening weekend “was a crazy, busy weekend with carts out already, because of the unusually dry weather for April,” said general manager Perry French.
The municipal golf course is now owned by the Town of Louisville and open to the public.
“People are ready to get out of the house this year,” said French. “We are seeing a lot of junior players. It was fun to see 56 junior golfers and 9 college students the first weekend. There were players with season passes, an there were many others out on the course. No membership is needed,” said French.
