The impending two-month closure of the Sumner Tunnel and predicted traffic backups are causing some to raise concerns about slower emergency responses in East Boston. Six East Boston neighborhood associations have pressed city officials for a plan to reduce transportation times for Boston Emergency Medical Services.
“This isn’t a disease that just magically goes away. This manifests in several different ways in the future. We know that," said Jayda Jones, a radiology technical assistant interning at Mass General Brigham, who quit on Thursday.
