After a batch of ice, Central Mass. readies for more snow

Between an icy Tuesday morning and a predicted snowstorm Thursday evening, Central Mass. will get clear and sunny weather on Wednesday.
After a chilly start, the temperature will near 30 on Wednesday, below the mid-30 readings of Tuesday afternoon.
And snow is on the way. According to the National Weather Service, Central Massachusetts could receive 6 inches Thursday night into Friday morning.
The slick roads of Tuesday morning gave way to wet and sometimes flooded roadways by afternoon.
The weather service pointed out that the warming on Tuesday afternoon was in stark contrast to the record-setting low temps of Feb. 16, 1943, when Worcester dropped to minus 24.
