Good morning. I propose to cover three things in my brief opening remarks this morning. Why me . Why now . Why are you here . Magna cartas relevance today. That are not necessarily individual behaviors, but people who are spousing ideas, and belief systems. And practice them and acting upon them. That are not just misbehaviors. But really question and shake the foundation of puritan society. That whole experiment. What happens when somebody starts to question that. What happens when people start believes and express believes. That run entirely counter to that. Because we talked about remember how important it was to them to make sure they were doing it right. So what we are going to deal with today are larger problems that are not necessarily individual belaif yohaviors but who were actually practicing and acting upon them and not just misbehaifr yors. That whole experiment, what happens when somebody starts so question that. What happens when they are entirely countered of that. We talked about how important it was to them to make sure they were doing it right according to their understanding of their christian faith. They had to do it this particular way. If they didnt do it this particular it is one of the most terrible things i could imagine. So questioning that is questioning, you know, different religious ideas or the basis for that and you cant do that in their society. Okay. Well talk about that, and particularly well look at it from the standpoint of religious freedom, he like yus okay. So what we find is that the idea of freedom of expression, freedom of religion was a contested idea almost as soon as people started to get
