Child reunited with mother after vehicle theft
WOONSOCKET – The Woonsocket Police Department said Monday afternoon a child has been reunited with their mother after a vehicle was stolen with the child inside earlier today.
Deputy Chief Michael Lemoine said the owner of the vehicle left it running as she ran into Mason Variety Store at 510 Elm St. The vehicle was stolen with a three-year-old child inside.
The vehicle was later recovered a short distance away on Sweet Avenue with the child inside unharmed. Police are still seeking suspects in the case.
