Rebecca Kane launched Silver Mushroom in January 2011, from her bedroom in Blackburn. Today, the company counts eight full-time employees on its books, and is on track to achieve a turnover of £2million in 2021. “We believe a home should be a sanctuary and a place where you truly love to spend time,” said Rebecca, 38. “We love to collect good quality things that will stand the test of time. “Online shopping was on the rise and so we decided to channel our energy in that direction and see where it took us.” Rebecca launched the company with her mum, and her younger sister Emmie Brookman came on board in 2014.
