Question of the Day
VICKSBURG, Miss. (AP) - The Walters family is no stranger to helping those in - and outside - their community.
During summers they have worked with Service Over Self, the one-week-long youth-led mission project, and both Abigail Walters Harper and her brother Evan Walters have participated in mission trips to Honduras.
Monday, the brother and sister, along with their mother, Kathy, all volunteered at the county’s drive-thru COVID-19 vaccination site.

Kathy said she has volunteered at the site several times before, where she helps out with paperwork, but this was the first time Abigail and Evan have been able to volunteer.

Masks Now Coalition announces first CDC compliant face mask design
The Masks Now Coalition, a coalition of volunteers and groups, announced in April their first mask design that is fully compliant with all CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) guidelines for people who can sew, and those who can’t. The Masks Now Coalition is an unprecedented grassroots effort to recruit sewists and the non-sewists alike to make masks. This coalition also distributes the masks to the facilities who need them like retirement homes, prisons, hospitals, banks, grocery stores, and other essential businesses.
