KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 9): Malaysia reported today 2,764 newly-confirmed Covid-19 infected individuals and 13 pandemic-related deaths, which brought the country s total number of fatalities due to the outbreak to 909 so far.
The Ministry of Health MOH said via Twitter today the 2,764 newly-infected individuals comprised 2,758 local-transmission and six imported cases.
“The last time the (daily) number of new cases was below 3,000 was on Jan 13 (2021),” the MOH said.
The MOH said today’s 2,764 newly-confirmed Covid-19-infected individuals brought the total number cases in the country to 248,316 so far.
According to the MoH, the cumulative number of active Covid-19 cases in the country stood at 50,841 so far.
