This is the real story of Cinderella Salamat, the coach and captain of debutants Sialkot City FC and hers is the struggle not just to see her team that took her six long years to put together play at the only women’s championship in the country but also have the opportunities for herself and her players to shine through, making it all happen by building a whole new football culture in Sialkot, just to get to this point.

The top two teams from each of the four groups will play a conventional Knockout Stage, the winner of which will be declared the NWFC champion.
PFF Normalisation Committee Chairman Haroon Malik said the federation s primary aim is to provide development opportunities to players. He said they have included the Development Stage to help provide players greater opportunities to play and succeed in football.
The groups for the championship are:
Group A: Wapda, Gilgit WFC, Hazara Girls FA, Hazara Quetta FA, Model Town WFC
Group B: Karachi United, Karachi WFC, Masha United FC, HEC, Sialkot City WFC
Group C: Pakistan Army, JAFA Soccer Academy, Riaz Kamil FC, Young Rising Stars Layyah
National Seniors Cup South ties from Saturday
KARACHI: The 21st National Seniors Cup Southern Zone matches are starting in Karachi from Saturday, Nov 12, Chairman Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association. Fawad Ijaz Khan announced on Wednesday.
The PVCA is organising this tournament since 1998 and many cities from all over Pakistan participate in the tournament. A total of 50 cities and 84 teams participated in this tournament last year.
Because of Covid-19, the PVCA has limited the number of cities and teams for this year’s tournament. This year a total of 58 Teams 46 from Punjab, four from Islamabad and eight from Sindh are participating in the tournament.
