After news broke that a federal judge in d. C. Denied it team trumps hope for three more days, to respond to the dojs request for protective order. The deadline remains monday, five pm, despite the push from trumps lawyers. The government is seeking a protective order to keep trump from publicly disclosing evidence gathered during the dust disappointments sprawling investigation. And to keep him from threatening potential witnesses. Special counsels office wants this all to have been quickly. In a new filing they say, quote, the government stands ready to press send on a discovery production. The defendant is standing in the way. And the request for protective order, the Special Counsels office cited this social media post from trump, reading, quote, if you go after me, im coming after you.
