Telangana: Health minister stripped off his portfolio, CM KCR takes charge
Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan approved the transfer of the portfolio from Rajender to the Chief Minister.

In a major development, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has taken the Medical, Health and Family Welfare portfolio from Eatala Rajender after allegations that the latter grabbed lands of farmers in Medak district.
The Chief Minister will keep the portfolio with him. Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan approved the transfer of the portfolio from Rajender to the Chief Minister. On the advice of the Chief Minister of Telangana, the Governor has approved the transfer of the Medical, Health & Family Welfare portfolio from Eatala Rajender to the Chief Minister with immediate effect, said a press communique from Raj Bhavan on Saturday.

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], May 1 (ANI): In a major development, a day after Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao ordered probe against Health Minister Etela Rajender over the allegations of land grabbing, Telangana Governor acting on the Chief Minister s advice on Saturday transferred the portfolio of Medical, Health and Family Welfare from Etela Rajender to the Chief Minister with immediate effect, said the Secretary to Telangana Governor.

Telangana Health Minister Etela Rajender has got embroiled in a controversy after he was accused of forcibly taking away the assigned lands from the farmers of Achampet and Hakimpet villages in Masaipet Mandal of Medak district.
Reacting to the allegations, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao instructed the Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and Vigilance and Enforcement wing Director-General Purnachandra Rao to find out the truth in the allegations. KCR has ordered a probe into this matter.
Villagers of Achampet and Hakimpet alleged that Health Minister Etela Rajender had misused his position and had grabbed the assigned lands from a few farmers.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao ordered an inquiry into the reports of land encroachment on the outskirts of Achampet in Masaipet Mandal of Medak district, on Friday after allegations were levelled against health minister Etela Rajender.
The Chief Minister directed Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to conduct an investigation by the district collector into the land grabbing allegations and send a detailed report to him.
KCR also passed instructions to the Director General of Police (Vigilance) Purnachandra Rao to investigate the truth behind the allegations and to conduct a primary inquiry into the matter as soon as possible.

Hyderabad: Telangana Health Minister Eatala Rajender said on Friday that he is ready to face a probe by a sitting judge, CBI or any other institution with regard to the allegations of land grabbing leveled against him.
Addressing a news conference a couple of hours after Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao ordered a probe into the allegations of land grabbing levelled by some villagers of Medak district, Rajender demanded the government to order a comprehensive inquiry to bring out the truth.
