Two people, including a woman in her 70s, have been taken to hospital after a crash. Police believe that four vehicles were involved in the crash on Bacup Road, Rawtenstall which happened at about 11.30am on Wednesday. A spokesperson for the police said: We were called to Bacup Road, Rawtenstall, at 11.29am today following reports of a road traffic collision involving multiple vehicles. Two people have been taken to hospital but their injuries are not thought to be life-threating. One of the casualties, a woman in her 70s has suffered a chest injury and both have been taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital.
