Armed Forces Day in Trowbridge HOPES are rising that a Wiltshire Armed Forces and Veterans Celebration event will be able to go ahead next year. The last event took place in 2019 and this year s two-day event scheduled for June 27 and 28 was cancelled because of the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions banning large public gatherings. However, Cllr Antonio Piazza, the Trowbridge councillor for Drynham, says he still hopes the event will be able to go ahead in 2021. He said: The town clerk (Lance Allan) has allocated a heritage fund for an event next year if it can go ahead subject to restrictions, to include veterans and the museum.
