Cork woman nominated for a Frontline Hero award for her charity work during the pandemic Mary O Keefe, who is an assistant store manager at Dealz in Midleton was also recognised for helping vulnerable customers.
Mary came up with a new idea where elderly and self-isolating customers could phone the store and arrange for their items to be picked up and paid for.
She also drove locals to Castlemartyr for a number of weeks so they could use the Post Office when the branch in Midleton burnt down.
A number of Cork charities also benefited when Mary and her team collected €10,000 worth of customer donations.
