Averee Hammond, 24, and Travis Sellers, 25, were doing work
across the street when they watched a woman set fire to a house on
Cherry Lane. Sellers rescued another woman who was trapped in the
basement.

MARYLAND Learn more about the birds of Maryland and enjoy the great outdoors by participating in the annual Maryland Park Quest, which kicks off May 1. This beloved tradition takes place at more than 25 Maryland state parks and offers opportunities for families to engage in outdoor activities that allow them to experience Maryland s cultural, historical and natural resources found on public lands and at parks.
Hosted by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, the 2021 park quest theme is Spread Your Wings to Explore Maryland s State Parks, and many of the quests will help participants learn more about Maryland s birds.

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources announces the annual Maryland Park Quest returns for 2021, running from May 1 through Oct. 31. In this beloved annual tradition, more than 25 Maryland State Parks, will offer opportunities to engage families in outdoor activities to experience Maryland’s vast cultural, historical, and natural resources on public lands and parks.
The 2021 Park Quest theme is “Spread Your Wings to Explore Maryland’s State Parks,” and many of the quests will help participants learn more about Maryland’s birds.
