ORANGE, CT Amity Regional Public Schools, which serves Orange, Bethany and Woodbridge, will be on a remote learning schedule on Monday, Feb. 1, due to the inclement weather expected to sweep through Connecticut overnight, district officials announced.
Orange s elementary schools, however, Mary L. Tracy, Peck Place, Race Brook and Turkey Hill, will be closed Monday, and there will be no remote learning. Amity Regional School District will have a remote learning day - February 1, 2021, Amity officials wrote on the district s website. Synchronous learning for students will begin at 7:34 am and will end at 12:47 pm.

of Janesville, WI - Mary L. Tracy, age 85, of Janesville, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at Alden Meadow Park in Clinton. Mary was born in Milwaukee on May 20, 1935; the daughter of Frank and Esther (Lemke) Pups; and married George Tracy after his tenure in the United States Army on October 13, 1956. She worked as a housekeeper in the Janesville area for many years, and was an avid bird enthusiast. She even kept two parakeets as pets, Loretta and Oscar, and enjoyed their friendly banter on a daily basis. In retirement, Mary and George made many wonderful friends and memories wintering in Florida. Mary will be remembered as a loving and dear wife, mother, sister, and friend.

As local private and municipal economic development officials peer into the crystal ball of a new year, they say one new prospect is coming into view in 2021: More warehousing, distribution and supply-chain jobs could be headed to Janesville.
During a conference call with chamber of commerce group Forward Janesville on the future of the local economy this week, city of Janesville Economic Development Director Gale Price said he is seeing a sudden, dramatic uptick in interest for industrial developers.
