IRON MOUNTAIN The victims of a Thursday fire in Dickinson County have been identified.
The homeowners, Roy Kline, 78, and MaryAnn Kline, 66, were pronounced dead at the scene of the fire in Hardwood, according to the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post.
MSP said the troopers from the Iron Mountain Post responded to a report of a large explosion at a residence along Fordville Road in Dickinson County at about 9:50 a.m. Thursday.
Two fire marshal investigators from the MSP were flown in from Lansing to assist in the investigation.
The cause of the explosion remains under investigation, officials said in the release.

BREEN TOWNSHIP State fire marshals have been brought in to investigate the cause of a house explosion late Thursday morning that killed a Hardwood couple in Dickinson County.
Roy Kline, 78, and Maryann Kline, 66, were found dead after officers from the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain post were called about 9:50 a.m. Thursday to a home on Fordville Road in Hardwood, according to a news release from the MSP Iron Mountain post.
