Tatiana Huezo’s first feature film has been selected to represent Mexico amongst the 15 shortlisted titles competing for Best International Film at the 2022 Academy Awards (Oscars). Abner Benaim’s Plaza Catedral is another Latin American film to have been shortlisted, and will represent Panama.
