For 17 years, the efforts of a western North Dakota photographer have been making the holidays a little brighter for people in some of the nursing homes in the region.
Mary Voight, who lives near Richardton, North Dakota, has prepared what she calls magical Christmas bags for the nursing homes in Jamestown and Cooperstown every year. Sometimes, when time and sponsorships allow, residents of nursing homes in Valley City and Carrington have also been included.
