TIFTON, Ga. — The nursing program at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College recently honored its top graduates at the 2022 spring semester pinning ceremony.

For a century, a dedicated group of women has been working to enrich Myrtle Baptist Church through their charitable deeds and financial assistance.
The Daughters of Myrtle “came into being in 1921 under the pastorate of Rev. William Wade Ryan,” according to the church’s website, and just celebrated its 100th anniversary. Its mission “to help the church spiritually and financially when and wherever possible.”
Recalling when she first joined the Daughters of Myrtle, current president Evette M. Layne said, “The women I met during [the group’s] events were very welcoming and I could see the love and support that they shared with each other.
