NZ travel bubble a multi-layered approach to restoring confidence 15/12/2020|5min
Tourism and Transport Forum CEO Mary Osmond says the two-way New Zealand – Australia travel bubble will have several positive outcomes for residents of both countries as well as for the resumption of international travel.
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced on Monday quarantine-free travel should resume with Australia by the end of March 2021.
Ms Osmond told Sky News the travel bubble will boost the tourism industry, restart the multi-billion dollar trading relationship between the two nations and restore business confidence.
She said the move would also likely encourage Australia to begin looking at extending the travel bubble to other nations in the Pacific region.
