Now. We know that these two fighter jets dispatched from norad tracked this plane as it was unresponsive over southern florida, then over the ocean. But those planes had to break off as the plane headed into cuban airspace. Keep in mind, airspace is about 12 miles from the coast. So 12 miles out from cuba, the american planes broke off. Were told that cuban military plane, at least one, maybe two, intercepted the plane at that point as it was over cuban airspace but it now looks like it is near the edge of cuban airspace and perhaps potentially headed back into the ocean, over the ocean or over the gulf there. The concern here is that the plane may have run out of fuel. We dont know much, if anything, about the situation onboard.
