The College Students here, and the organizers on this campus and around the country, that put us in a position to affect real change. Real change. And this has to happen. To lay the foundation for you, i wanted to share some things with you about my experiences when i was on the department. And then i will bring my remarks, to give you a sense, a foundational sense of some of what this movement that youve from ferguson all the way around the world has been vilified wrongfully in so many corners is really about. Early in my career, i was working with an officer, female officer, and this officer happened to be a white female officer. Not only did white officers abuse their authority, you have like, asian, and hispanic officers who do it.
