Community rallies to create hampers for local NHS workers amid pandemic effort I simply thought there must be something we can do Updated A community effort in South Somerset and Dorset has seen nearly 1,000 donations to NHS staff in the area as a show of appreciation for their efforts during the coronavirus pandemic. A small initiative started by a group of friends has taken off with hampers of goodies being delivered to staff at Yeovil Hospital and Dorchester Community Hospital. The campaign, called Nurturing Hospital Staff, has involved people from more than 50 local villages and towns and has seen individual donations of hand cream, lip balm, shower and bath gels, scented candles, eye masks, moisturisers and relaxation and sleep treats, and will run until next month.
