Wandering Minds organises painting competition

Dimapur, Oct. 30 (EMN): With an objective to promote fine arts in Nagaland and encourage budding artists, Wandering Minds organised its 1st inter-school painting competition on October 22 and the prizes were given away on October 29. An update from Wandering Minds stated that a total of 427 students from 33 schools in and around Dimapur participated in the competition. It stated that a total of 10 consolation prizes along with the first, second and third winners were given away from each of the 16 categories. It informed that LKG and UKG students from various schools were also presented with prizes in order to encourage more participation in the field of fine arts. It stated that St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School was adjudged the champion team, while Little Star Higher Secondary School and Holy Cross Higher Secondary School secured the first and second runners-up prizes respectively. ANPSA holds state-level literary competitions

Dimapur, Oct. 26 (EMN): Lokhemi Achumi and Chothanu Kharutso from Little Flower Higher Secondary School, Kohima, won the first prize of the state-level quiz competition organised by All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA) held at NBCC Platinum Hall in Kohima on October 20. An update from ANPSA informed that Manchem Chang and Shahida Sultana from St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, secured the second  position, while Ansh Singh and Santosh Nayak from Agape Higher Secondary School, Chümoukedima, secured the third position. It stated that a sum of INR10,000, INR 8,000 and INR 6,000 were given away to the winners along with certificates.
