It appears Dr. Milne Park in Paisley is going to the dogs, but in a good way.
Arran-Elderslie council, on May 25th, voted to move ahead with the development of the leash-free park.
Deputy Mayor Mark Davis, though, was a little concerned that the hilly terrain would impede dog owners having an eye on their pooch.
He suggests, “you let a bunch of dogs run loose in a pen, there’s going to be action.”
Davis says he was hoping for a flatter park where sight-lines were better.
Meanwhile, Paisley ward councillor Melissa Kanmacher says she’s visited the Port Elgin leash-free dog park many times and there’s a huge hill where owners tend to stand and they lose sight of their dogs but there doesn’t seem to be a problem.
