REGION Several Project 351 Ambassadors and alumni gathered at Wachusett Mountain on April 22 to paint and distribute kindness rocks and pick up trash for an Earth Day service project led by alumni Gabriela Hamburger from Holden and Allison Smith from Westminster.
“We’re always looking for ways to expand our service and create projects that reflect our values as a region and organization” Gabriela said. “The main inspiration for our service was wanting to find a way to give back to the place that we all call home and leave it more beautiful than how we found it.”
Project 351 supported and encouraged each region to host an Earth Day project. Region 5, which includes Wachusett, Oakmont, Narragansett, Fitchburg, Leominster, and Gardner, hosted the one at the mountain. Ten ambassadors, five alumni and two adult volunteers participated.
