BEAUMONT, Texas The man police say murdered a Beaumont teacher in 1995 knew her so well that she was in his wedding.
DNA evidence along with a genealogy database led police to arrest Clayton Bernard Foreman, 61, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, on a capital murder charge.
Mary Catherine Edwards, who was found dead in her home, was a bridesmaid in the wedding of Foreman and his first wife, Jefferson County District Attorney Bob Wortham told 12News.

BEAUMONT, Texas A Reynoldsburg man is charged with capital murder in the death of a Texas teacher in 1995.
Mary Catherine Edwards, 31, was found dead in the upstairs bedroom of her townhouse by her father in Beaumont, Texas on Jan. 14, 1995.
DNA evidence and a genealogy database led police to arrest Clayton Foreman, 61, of Reynoldsburg.
According to a court affidavit obtained by KBMT, police matched DNA from Edwards home to Foreman thanks to a genetics website.
KJAS News has learned that an arrest has been made in a 1995 sexual assault and murder of a Beaumont school teacher.
31-year-old Mary Catherine Edwards was found by her parents deceased in the bathroom of her home on Park Meadow Drive in Beaumontâs west end on Saturday, January 15th, 1995. Investigators say she had been drowned. According to investigators, Edwards lived alone and she was last seen alive the previous evening.
KJAS has learned from a source close to the case that on Thursday night, a 61-year-old male suspect, who would have been 34 at the time of the murder, was arrested in Franklin County Ohio and he is currently incarcerated there.
