in researching their final hours, reporter todd cooper learn the couple had last been heard from, at about 2 pm thursday. one of the first things we found out about was based on a conversation between both of them, they were roaring with laughter, so much that the daughter took a screenshot of the conversation. that kind of humanizes this and makes you realize this was just a lightning bolt in the middle of an otherwise normal mother s day. carol brumback, roger sister, also spoke with her brother that afternoon. then two days later, a family member broke the awful news. wow. he said roger and mary were murdered. i said, i said i said what are you talking about? he said they were murdered. what goes through your mind? i had no idea, i had no idea
