COLONIE Town Supervisor Paula Mahan announced Wednesday that she will not be seeking re-election this year - ending a more than decade-long run in the Capital Region s most populated town.
Mahan, a retired educator, first became supervisor in 2008, ending a seven-decade streak of Republican rule in Colonie.
However, she very narrowly won re-election in 2019, with Republican George Scaringe only losing by about 100 votes out of more than 20,000 cast.
