After Anderson High Schools announced their plans to hold proms this year, students started shopping for prom gowns, tuxedoes and corsages.
For seniors, next on their to-do lists will be shopping for graduation outfits and planning parties.
While proms were canceled last year, most schools did go forward with their graduation ceremonies. Most seniors found themselves graduating outside on their school football fields wearing masks, social distancing, avoiding handshakes and celebrating with the very limited guests they were allowed to bring.
This year, schools have a little more flexibility for their graduation ceremony plans. But most are still facing limitations due to the ongoing pandemic.
