that delivered a powerful blow to the midwest. strong thunderstorms and historically powerful winds leaving behind quit a bit of damage. i m gurvir dhindsa. let s go over to tucker to find out about the weather system impacting our commute this morning. good morning. the tornado watch expired a couple of hours ago. we are concerned with locally heavy downpours as the rain begins to come down throughout the area. from the western portions of the beltway out to reston and leesburg, to the south and east of frederick, much of northern and western montgomery county and you can see pushing down now towards culpeper. a good soaking rain and some embedded thunderstorm activity as well. this is the latest in a series of a band of storms that will develop along this frontal system which has been moving through. let s get back it vipir and show you the big system. there you go. you can see we continue to watch rain kind of train along that frontal system. it will take much of the day
